About Us

The Lino Liviabella Quartet was founded from the idea of Hans Liviabella, violinist and the grandson of the composer Lino Liviabella (1902-1964), to bring renewed attention to all the string quartet works of this important Italian artist who was active in the first half of the 1900s. An in-depth study of the manuscripts of his string quartets, including unpublished ones, led to the creation of a recording project.
The Lino Liviabella Quartet will in fact record all of Liviabella`s works for string quartet, to be presented in 2026.
The quartet is formed by internationally renowned soloists and is the "Quartet in Residence" at the Château de Gorgier in Switzerland, where they will launch an important new chamber music Festival, collaborating with leading artists such as Asier Polo, Raphaela Gromes, Domenico Sorrenti and Gianluca Littera.
